  thumbnails in browser causing FCP to crash

  So FCP has started to play some silly tricks on me. Basically when using thumbnails in the browser either in icon view or as a column, FCP at random points when building the thumbnails causes either the spinning beach ball of death or a “poof to the desktop” crash.

  I have done all the usual things when things go south like trashing prefs and repairing permissions, I even deleted the thumbnail cache in case that was corrupted…but still no luck.

  anyone else having this weirdness?

  in the middle of a large multi-month project so cant upgrade to 6.0.2 to see if that fixes anything.

  any ideas?
