    Thrausi is awesome, but I’m having a problem:

    How do I make the fractured object fall, but have it stay together until it hits the floor?
    I start to see the cracks as it falls, I’ve tried a separate fracture object but it stops the dynamics of the child.

    1First stick it in a cloner object.
    2Adjust the number of clones from 3 to 1
    3Then add a mograph rigid body tag to the cloner object and (if necessary the floor
    4Then click on the tag and select “trigger” and choose upon impact.

    When I add dynamics to the cloner and say “on collision,” it stops the object from falling because the dynamics don’t start right away.

    I’m able to achieve the desired results by key framing, but there must be a way to do it all with dynamics.

    What I mean to say is you are right, I forgot about that. I am not sure of the proper solution.

    after some testing there is more than one way to do this but it looks like the easiest is to uncheck Self Collisions in the Dynamics Body/Collisions tab (on the fractured object) and then keyframe it enabled one frame before it hits the floor.

    Keyframing works but is a pain if you want to adjust how far it falls because you’d have to redo the keyframing of Self Collisions for the new timing, so I added xpresso to do it automatically.
