Anyone upgraded there GPU card to a Nvidia GTX 570.

I’m looking at purchasing one and wondering what the positives and negatives are?

The cards are modded for mac I believe. Wonder if everything works smoothly with this set up. Wonder if the GPU card is noisy. How much of a difference it will make.

Please let me know your thoughts?

We are using it now for a MacPro. Works like a charm…

My test was, running a ATI 5770 ? and thei 570 card. I had to get power for the 570 card from another mac, that I just sat beside it… It worked… Two macs transformed into one nice Resolve machine…

Now that that worked, we decided for a Cubix box, 4 slots… For the time beeing, we are running a Red Rocket and one 570 card it that box… I’m still waiting for the two other 570 cards..
Remeber to get the 2.5GB version of the card. That is really important!!!!!

And, these cards are standard PC cards, no modification..

    Running OS @ 10.7.4

    Cheers Helge
