  • Thinking particles going through models…

I have a starship model that I’ve worked up some damage on. I stuck a particle emiter inside the hole in the ship and used a fan to get the particles headed in the right direction, but the particles tend to fly right through the model in places I don’t want them to go. Is there a way to keep the particles from going through the model? I’ve tried using a deflector, but that didn’t give me the results I was looking for.

    Thanks in advance…

Check the presets that come with TP. there are several that use external geometry to create tubes/ funnels to direct your particles. Other than that you need to direct your particles using some of the various force fields which is a common thing to all particle systems.

you might try regular particles and the free plug-in, Fizz.
