    Hi,

my preview settings are set to adaptive resolution. When i use the find edges effect, the outlines are much
thicker if i scroll over the timeline (cause of the adaptive resolution.) This actually gives the effect i am looking for, but is off course not really there. For instance if you put a glow on inverted find edges, you get real bright fat outlines. They are gone once you let go the mousebutton.

Is there a way to get these results when fully rendered?

    Thanx

Not just at the push of a button, but there’s a couple of ways you could achieve this.

It would probably be best to start off with setting saturation to zero with a Hue/Saturation filter. Then apply a couple of pixels of blur. Then use the Levels or Brightness/Contrast filter to crank up the contrast and tighten up the edges.

The desaturation is in there because colors can get mighty weird when cranking up the contrast dramatically.

Duplicate the layer with the effect and use the multiply filter, perhaps?
