There seems to be a problem with QT 7.1.5 & Media 100
Posted by Jim Wigler on March 17, 2007 at 4:55 pmRight off the bat, a Producer export loses saturation in QT Player, and is messed-up in After Effects… 🙁

Did you download QT 7.1.5 yourself, or do you have the automatic updates turned on? If the latter, PLEASE do yourself a favor and turn that thing off.
I NEVER update quick time unless I ablsolutely have to, or if M100 says its ok. I’m not sure what 7.1.5 fixes, but clearly it’s breaking other things (your m100 for example).
I know this is not terribly helpful regarding your issue at hand, but my $.02 is to avoid OS and QT updates unless absolutely needed. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

Jim,
could you give me some additional info, like what kind of export are you doing (self-contained, by-ref, Quicktime (which codec)? How do you measure/view the loss of saturation? How is the clip “messed-up” in AE?
Thanks,
Floh
