When I time reverse everything plays fine in the comp, but when I render it drops the first one or two frames. Anyone experienced it? I can’t even find a workaround.

    Thanks, in advance.

    Thanks for responding Dave,

It’s not H.264 type footage, but I know the problem you are talking about. That’s not the problem I’m having. I’m using ProRes and MXF files. Both have the issue.

If I time reverse a layer that I have applied time remapping to, the first one or two frames gets cut off when I render sometimes. The frame/s do not appear dropped in the timeline window, however, and sometimes when I adjust the in point it does appear missing!!! Clearly a bug. I wish I knew what the deal is with this because I’ve been using AE for twenty years and just noticing the problem on last two projects.

Funny thing is, most the time I can’t see the dropped frame when scrubbing timeline, but it shows up in render!

Does the same thing happen when using Layer > Time Reverse Layer or only with Time Remapping?

Is this happening in all render settings? For example does it show up in a PNG sequence render?
