There is definitely a limit to the number of Event Pan/Crop presets you can save
Just an FYI to you all…..I posted a question a few weeks ago asking if you could save more than 30 presets for Event Pan/Crop….by accident I hit the Page Down key and lo and behold I was able to see each one I did over 30….I was able to find the old ones by hitting my Page Up key and everything was good…BUT today I tried to save another preset and got a message back that says “The preset ‘xxx’ is part of the plug in and cannot be saved or replaced. Please enter a unique name for the custom preset”…This was a little disturbing, but just to be sure I deleted a preset and did a test save….it worked. However the next save I tried to do resulted in the same message. I then deleted 2 presets and saved 2 test presets and they both saved. When I tried to save a 3rd one I again got the same error message…I counted all of the presets that are in my list and it appears to be 50….You should be able to save 46 as there are 4 presets that you can’t delete……Just some trivia for your day…..Enjoy

I’ve been using them for specific cropping sizes and placements that I’m using in 2 diferent projects that I’m working on…..I’m an intermediate user at best and as far as I know this would seem to be the easiest way to have panning, cropping and placements repeatable for different tracks just by calling up the preset…Example, you have a graphic that you’re using on 2 different tracks, and on the first track, you panned and cropped it to your liking and moved it to a specific position on the screen…name it something and save it…..now you want the same panning and cropping on another track…call up the preset you just saved and now you have the same thing on both tracks…..if there’s an easier way to do this, please let me know I’m always willing to try something different…

You could copy the event with the pan settings and Paste Attributes to a different event.

Understood, but what about using the same attributes on a different project?….Wouldn’t I have to open 2 projects to copy attributes from one to another?…it seems like it’s easier to save them and then call them up for later use….wish I could find the directory that they’re in and extract…..
