    I have recently downloaded an after effects project for stomp typography. I can see the animation going on but when I press U, there are no keyframes visible. Also there are many effects on all the layers but they aren’t visible under effects control tab. What am I missing here. I want to know about it and how can I reveal the keyframes and the effects,

    U should show properties with keyframes, but with precomposing, parenting, and expressions, you could miss a lot. UU will show all properties which have been modified from their defaults. This will at least include properties with expressions, but not keyframes.

    Most likely they have no keyframes but expressions. You can press EE to bring down the expressions
    On another note, if you’re intersted in placing the text layers on a motion path, there’s a trick to reveal the “invisible” keyframes. See the tutorial here:
