Hello, I have a question about the creation of a commercial. The link below is to the new “The Story of Vans” commercial. I was wondering if anybody knew how the commercial might have been made (i.e. Programs used, How they used the programs, Was any of it shot with a camera and then edited, etc.).

My employer would like for me to create something similar for his company. I am still a novice to motion graphics so I figured here would be my best place to start figuring it out. If I am in the wrong forum, could you point me in the direction of the correct forum, please?

    Thanks for your time

It’s a combination of hand drawn animation and stop motion animation for the real objects. You can do all the animation and compositing in AE.
