    Hi Folks,

I understand that it’s been a scary 3 months, and I’ve very sorry about having to go dark through all of this. but I’m very excited to announce that BRU and all of it’s associated solutions have not gone the way of the Dodo and have been brought under the banner of a very familiar team.

While an official announcement will be forthcoming, rest assured that things are only going to get very much better in the very near future.

Stay tuned and give us a few days to get the nitty-gritty worked out and we’ll catch you all up on your product status as well as support and new version plans.

    Tim

In a separate thread here, the news has been revealed that OWC is acquiring the BRU product tech.

    That’s great, IMO.

I still have two months of my support contract with Tolis. Do you know if OWC will honor that? And, what about these three lost months, when I desperately needed support and got none (from Tolis)? When will OWC be handling support tickets? Have they started yet?

Do you have any insight on these questions, Tim?

Yes, we will be honoring all existing support contracts with the 3 months of down time honored, as well. We haven’t started yet as I need to get the teams up to speed.

Can we report it dead now? OWC support has barely heard of this software and is totally confused by any tech support requests.

I hope not. It’s for sale on the OWC / MacSales site (link below).

Yesterday, I did an unsupported upgrade to Catalina on a 2012 MacPro, and am running Argest 4.0.9 on a test tape. as I write this. So, I do hope there’s a lifeline if I have issues. The app says I’m running the current version, which is curious, as I reverted back to BRU PE about 18 months ago, and stopped using ArGest at that time. I was having an issue with ArGest stalling when my display went to sleep, and then ArGest waking up when I woke my display. Kind of weird, but I’m trying to determine if that’s been fixed, and should know more after my testing.

I see that Tim Jones posted to this forum not long ago, helping a BRU PE user, and if I’m not mistaken, he’s the support guy for this product and BRU PE.
