R11 has some nice features, and for those who can’t live without tracks, it will be a great option. It’s still very much a beta though… 🙂

June 26, 2014 at 12:03 amIs FCPX actually playing the log footage or a sneaky background optimised render? Yes da Vinci does want some grunt under the hood to process grading so if you want to use it as an edit with grade tool you will need graphics grunt.
I think too many people are jumping to the conclusion that this is a primary edit toll rather than a work in progress finishing tool with terrific edit functionality that will sit on bigger iron, more often Linux & Windows not iMacs or laptops.
