Hi everyone. I’ve been following the old tv tutorial but I’m having a problem right at the very end with creating the tube glare effect, to stop making it look so flat.

I duplicate the solid that provides the tv shaped matte, drag the bottom left corner point in and then convert the top right and bottom left corners to hard edges all OK. When I then feather this new shape however the feathering is not constricted by the tv shaped matte.

Because that probably didn’t make any sense to anyone I’ve uploaded an example here.

Any help much appreciated, this is driving me crazy!

hi…one way is to not feather it too much…another way is to put the glare layer under the tv matte layer so the tv matte covers the whole composit…hope it helps…cheers…merv
