    Yep,

I’m subtitling a film and doing the old COPY PASTE from a pages document.

I wish that the title tool would hold the formating I set up in the motion template, but alas it does not.

I have to enlarge all of the text to 90 points in the word doc and make it the same typeface, but the template does not hold the drop shadow.

Hey apple, do something about this. It’s been a pain in the ass in every NLE since dawn.

    David

PS: or maybe I am just missing something. 🙂

Even if you paste in the inspector rather than in viewer ?

Just checked, if you paste into viewer, it holds source formating (done in Pages).
If you paste into inspector, in Text tab, it holds destination formating (set up in your Motion template)

    Great.

I have tried that and it works. Makes life so much simpler.

Have to say that this title tool is among the best I have seen in an NLE.

Way to go FCP x (again)

But, I should add the text has to be selected in the INFO window if you are replacing things or adding drop shadows.
