Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy The new name

  • Posted by David Battistella on April 8, 2011 at 4:10 pm

Been thinking that Apple Final Cut Studio is a long and sort if tired name.

I think that we will see a new name for the app.
    Here is my guess:

    APPLE POST

I think the app will be divided into rooms.
    Picture Editing room
    Sound editing room
    Color correction room
    Motion graphic room

You never leave the app and the concept of send to and send back is abolished forever.

There will be an intelligent media setup that will allow you to work with the same media across all the different rooms.

Apple finish will allow you to export projects to various formats at once (as we see in QT 10 now)

Get ready. Apple is changing post production for good.

Look for an announcement about a new tower as well. And the real time engine will make adobe mercury look so last year.

    Cheers

    David

    Peace

    APPLE POST”

    Nope. Not even close.

How about “iPost”, or “My iPost ’11”.

My iPost ’11 would have tabs with the following cool apps:

    One Step Video Arranger
Make pro quality movies with just one click!

    Audio Solutions
Add super cool effects, narration with these fun sound design tools

    Color Fixer and Themes
Drag and drop intelligent video repairs and fun themes to make your movie stand out.

    Magic Movie Publisher
Be a studio mogul and control the distribution of your new masterpiece with one simple click.

    Cinema Packs
Add to your movie making fun with “Cinema Packs”. Cinema Packs will add the latest cool filters and themes seen in your favorite media to your Color Fixer tab. Many of the coolest effects will have exclusive matching sound designs for Audio Solutions. In addition to all the super cool effects and trendy themes you get in Cinema Packs, each one will have interactive “Film S’Cool” tutorial content featuring the hottest talent in Hollywood.

My iPost ’11 will be available for iPhone, iPad and Mac. Cinema Packs sold separately, and will require an App Store account.

I have a system, it has stuff in it, and stuff hooked to it. I have a camera, it can record stuff. I read the manuals, and know how to use this stuff and lots of other stuff too.
    You should be suitably impressed…

There was some good discussion here on the pros and cons of a “unified app” a couple months ago that you may find interesting:

What would be reasons to be anything but skeptical considering signs Apple is sending to us
last 2 – 3 years if not longer.

I think it’d time for an intelligent app. There is no need, if built from the ground up, to be creating bloated apps. I’m finding a lot if the new apps very streamlined
