December 14, 2013 at 7:14 amWhile waiting I have a short wish list.
1. Bring back the tracks
2. Keep audio separated from the video, makes for faster split edit stuff
3. Give us an option to turn off and on connected clips, not make us hold down some key just to do it
4. Color wheels
5. Send To Motion
6. Bring back Shake
7. Subscription only model, just kidding 🙂Otherwise very satisfied with FCP X, just waiting for the Mac Pro to come out.

December 14, 2013 at 3:44 pmI think you’re setting yourself up for disappointment with 1, 2, and 3.
Those ideas are integral to the way FCPX works, and I don’t see the development team doing a 180 degree turn on them now.

As stated, I doubt Apple will change the design philosophy of the app. However, your wish #3 is already there.
Press and hold ~ , then press Shift and release both keys. (try it a couple times, you’ll get it) connections stay off until you press ~ again.

December 14, 2013 at 6:00 pmWow, that looks almost like Adobe Premiere Pro. Very innovative!
I’m sure copying the competition is a sure fire way to lead the industry. -
