The “Glimmer Effect” in AE?
I’m working on some text in AE 6.5 and I want the text to have that “glimmer” (where it sparkles from one side of the text to the other)that is very easy to apply in Apple Live Type, but I am having a really difficult time doing this in After Effects. Can anyone help me make this happen or should I just give up and use the one in Live Type?

Try use CC Light Sweep. Alternatively if you want you can try out some Red Giant plugins, hope this is not too late, only 10 years and some change.
