    Hello all,
Just purchased a new Core 2 Duo machine, running Windows XP. I have AE, heaps of Adobe programs, Ulead, Ultra 2, Particle Illusion, Vegas etc etc.
I presume all of my programs will NOT run on Vista. And I am loathe to ” re-invent the wheel “, meaning, I don’t want to spend a heap of money on Vista-Upgrades or whatever I need to make them work. ( again ).
If my assumptions are correct, I will never be able, in future years, to enjoy a new machine, with new technology ( vista-style ) whilst all my programs are pre-vista. Will I have to keep my current machine ” forever ” ?
Have I got it all wrong ? Or what is the situation ? Has the birth of Vista ” killed all my programs ” ? I find this depressing. Hopefully it’s not as bad as I think. Can anyone update me, please ?

well… i have found that fridays are not the best day to post.

but, i think you’re probably correct, if you never want to buy updated software you will not be able to use vista. however, at some point you may want to get upgrades to your software when newer versions with new and improved features and at that point the newer software will probably be vista friendly.
