Posted by Aindreas Gallagher on October 23, 2013 at 9:58 pmi didn’t check if this got mentioned – but is that the new FCPX doing multicam with the event browser collapsed in the screengrab?
it looks like you can customise interface elements – there doesn’t look to be the centre bar timecode toolshelf there? If I’m actually looking at FCPX at all?

October 23, 2013 at 10:25 pmWell, it is the NEW version, the one that hasn’t been released yet. There might be differences.

October 23, 2013 at 10:41 pmnothing wrong with a dab of the zapruder.
I’m certain there are tracks at the bottom. if you squint you can clearly see them.

October 23, 2013 at 10:52 pmI am squinting. I can see the typical FRAME MODE video “track” that FCX does, and a thin blue audio line…looks normal to this untrained eye that never used FCX…

October 23, 2013 at 11:11 pmYup. It’s looks like working in multi-cam with the event browser hidden.
I don’t think there’s anything here that gives away any new UI or functionality.

gag on my part there, I’m really not holding out hope –
continuing zapruder style – the video filmstrip with audio bar and the multicam setup he’s pointing at looks a lot like FCPX – but the interface looks to have the centre bar hidden. or incredibly narrow. forgetting the chrome – it basically takes up space:

that centre GUI chunk doesn’t look to be in the apple snapshot I reckon.
I do tend to kill all the playback buttons in PPro anytime I use it mind you.

October 23, 2013 at 11:57 pmWhere’s the other monitor?
That is to say, where’s the Event Browser?

October 24, 2013 at 12:00 amYou can hide the Event Browser window in a single monitor solution if you don’t need it. Here, they obviously want more screen real-estate for the multi-cam window. If you’re just cutting multi-cam, you don’t need it open.

October 24, 2013 at 12:09 amNot like that. It still leaves a linen patch even if I hide the browser.

Such a better term than de-chrome.
