Hi this as Abhishek.I have some video tapes which are shot in NTSC mode. Now when i am putting these videos on FInal cut pro in the output i am getting the vertical cut outs which is making the video look small in size. The sequence settings are set on NTSC.Would costomizing the sequence settings help the size of the video to completely fit in the screen fully. The current ration is 640 by 480 NTSC 4:3.

Hi Rafael.Well the sequence settings pallete shows the following .
    Frame size – 640 by 480
    Aspect ration – NTSC 4:3
    Pixel aspect ratio – Pal ccir 601 (720 x576)
Field dominance – Lower and the Anamorphic option is unchecked and 16:9 is wrtten in front of that.So what can be causing it?

Well, here there is something wrong.
The size is not standard NTSC and the pixels are PAL.
Open one of the clips with QT and Com-I to see the setting.
