How do you do the color burn? I remember there was a post a long time ago. It was before FCP 4 came out. Could I just make a shape say a oval and add the Joe’s color glow to it and turn the opacity down? Do you think that would work? thanks if you can help me with this…..ONE

I’m not exactly sure what you mean, but if you put a color over your video and control (or right) click and turn your composite mode to add. You will then see the effect you are going for , I think. You can also check out eurkea’s plug ins and they have a FREE one called vapor across that blooms and blurs across a transition.

I’m sorry it has come to me. It was called Film burn. It is like a bright orange/red soft blurry shape or stright up + down line. It pops on and off the clip.

Yeah, no prob. When you search, make sure to turn on the archives on the bottom part of the search window. It goes back to 2001.

    [Tarik M. Sykes] “That isn’t helping me…”

WHAT? You don’t find Singing Ghosts helpful?

    LOL

I can’t believe I pasted the wrong link into my last post.
    (Disney’s Haunted Mansion)

I had just been on that site when I switched back to the COW and read your question.
I did a Search and found this
    https://forums.creativecow.net/cgi-bin/new_read_post.cgi?forumid=8&postid=289701&archive=T

and THOUGHT I copied it from the URL line in my browser.

Did a “paste” into my reply and… dashed out to a family event WITHOUT CHECKING IT
    (famous last words).

Bottom line: I’m sorry (and really embarrassed) that I blew the help I thought I’d provided.

And thanks to JeremyG for picking up the gauntlet so well.

    OTOH,
    — Welcome, foolish mortals…
    — Do not pull down on the safety bar. I will lower it for you.
    — Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize.
    — Hurry BAAA-aaack!

    I find that VERY helpful.
