So I took the tail end of this animation I am working on so whoever reads it can view to see what I am referring to. Basically I have an emitter dropping boxes into a bigger box and then spilling over the side. The problem is that the floor box starts shaking…which is sort of neat when its being struck by the smaller boxes, but the trouble is its still moving around and shaking even after the smaller boxes have stopped moving.

I have attached a screen shot of the dynamics body tag applied to the original cube used to make the bigger box on the floor as well.

Hard to tell without seeing the animation, but you might try increasing the thresshold values.

Here is the video, thanks for the help guys.

    Falling cubes

You can see the box moving around…cant figure it out. Will mess with the threshold values. Two more questions; 1. Does anyone have info on where to find comprehensive Xpresso tutorials, 2. Does anyone know where to find good tutorials on setting up cinema animations, file types, changing them around later, etc. Is this in the arena After Effects. I have been considering it, and/or the upgrade from Photoshop CS3 to 5 (would that work as well?)

Strange, it looks like the box is floating. If you don’t absolutely need the box to move I would just switch dynamics to off in its tag.

So I switched the box dynamic off and the box stopped moving but the cubes sitting in still move. Flushed my cache and lowered the threshold some, now it seems to be working. Thanks for the help Adam.
