  • The best way to capture HDV on the XH-A1

I have recently bought a XH-A1 and im trying to understand the HDV world as best and fast as I can. I use Premiere CS3 to capture and edit footage. It seems like after I capture and get my mpeg video stream, the quality has taken a significant hit. I then downloaded the AspectHD 15 day trial and I got an AVI that was better, but still showed significant quality loss. What and how is the best way to capture HDV footage and still retain the best quality?

    Thanks.

    Best Regards,

I’m not to familliar with Premier, I use Final Cut. But I would make sure you are capturing to the same format of HDV that you shot and not doing some sort of conversion wile capturing. Also make sure your project or timeline settings match. You may be able to find more info in a Premier forrum.
