The best Notebook for AE ?
What would be the best Notebook to use with AE ?
At the moment I’m using AE7.0.1 and Maya 6 on an older P4 Desktop, but I would like to go portable and wondering what Notebook would be the best choice (Mac or Windows).The fastest CPU is Core2Duo and at least 2GB RAM, besides the graphics card should be separate (PCI-E) and OpenGL 2.0 compatible.
I found these models be short-listed for me, because of being Workstation replacements:
MacBook Pro (ATI x1600, short keyboard)
Dell M90 (Quadro FX Go 1500m, short keyboard)
HP NW9440 (Quadro FX Go 1500m, full keyboard)Now I’ve seen Adobe’s compatibility list for AE7 and the Graphics in mentioned devices are not providing OpenGL previews for anti-aliasing or 2D motion blur, but are known for being professional graphics chips, at least the 1500m.
I think preview for anti-aliasing and 2D motion blur is important, is it not ?
Should I better go for a notebook with a Geforce Go 7xxx card, as these are listed as fully compatible ?Im confused, could you please help me finding the right portable computer ?

I don’t think I have the best notebook, but I’ve got a pretty good one. It’s an HP Pavillion (couple years old now), but the features I asked for were the full keyboard, (completely invaluble for the shortcut keys alone) and a widescreen. Mine is 19″ (screen that is) although because I work for web I wasn’t bothered that the native resolution is only 1400×900. If you’re working in HD, small native resolution could be an issue. The GFX card is a GeForce, although I rarely use the openGL element, by the time I’d learnt how to use it, I found I rarely wanted to use OpenGL, perferring separate 3D software.
On a side note, (and not wanting to start a platform war), if you’re used to Windows, making the jump to Mac can be difficult and slowed me down a lot for the 6 months I used one.
