This has been making me crazy for 2 days, and I don’t see anything about it on the forum…

I’ve tried Export to Movie 5 or 6 times now to make an uncompressed quicktime of a 14.5 minute project. Once it starts rendering, the file appears on the external HD and grows bigger over time. Then, when it reaches 100%, it disappears!

What am I doing wrong? I’ve tried it with timeline bars locked and unlocked, Entire Sequence and Work Area only, and nothing works. Most recently, my settings were:

    Export
    Video and audio
    Work area only

    Filetype
    QuickTime

    Video Settings
    Compressor: None
    Frame size: 360h 240v (0.900)
    Frame rate: 29.97 frames/second
Pixel Aspect Ratio: D1/DV NTSC (0.9)
    Fields: Lower Field First

    Audio Settings
    Compressor: Uncompressed
    Sample rate: 48000 samples/second
    Channels: Stereo
    Sample type: 16-bit

What insanely obvious thing am I missing here? I know I made QT’s of this when I was working on the project, but now several months later I’ve lost my touch. Please help!

    Thanks,

    V

By the way, I can create clips but not the entire movie. I also have more than 120 gigs of space on the drive.

What file system does the external drive have?? FAT 32 or NTSF? You need NTSF for files over 4 GB.
Just curious, why would you export a 360 x 240 uncompressed file?

Hey, it’s NTFS with 120G free and my main system has 39G free (it should be a 22G-25G file when done).

That time I exported at half size so it would go faster so I could see if it would work — I’ve tried several time since at half and regular size but to no avail. Clips are exporting, just not the full movie…

I’m having exactly the same problem. Did you ever find a solution to this?
