that little “fx” box on timeline clips…(how do i make use of them?)
i’m guessing it is SUPPOSED to be a shortcut. i right click on it and get the three sub-menus: motion, opacity, and time remapping. i can then click on those for more options…but then nothing happens. what do i have to click to actually edit a clip with those little menus?

The colors in the fx box tells you if you have changed the fixed effect or added effects from the Effects panel or no effects at all.
Instead of keyframing in the Effect Controls Window you can keyframe directly in the clip on the timeline.
If you click on a propertie a corresponding line will appear on the clip for you to add keyframes or pull it up or down (depending on the propertie)———————————————–
