Hi, I’m new to C4D. I’m making an animation involving Russian dolls, but I’m not sure how to create the texture or how to project it. As you can see, the dolls are more or less cylindrical, but they are “curvy”.

    Best-

What have you tried so far? Once you have the pieces modelled, try creating a rough texture with a face and apply it. What result do you get?

Hi, haven’t tried yet. Where should I start? A back and a front image of the doll, with some extra Yellow to fill in the spaces?

I failed to mention that I want to make a copy of an existing russian doll. So I can’t ”draw” it or eyeball it inside of C4D. I have to create the texture from photographs. Don’t know how this is done? The doll is of course 3-dimensional itself so the challenge is to go from 3d to 2d and back to 3d again in an accurate way.
