I am trying to texture a sweep nurbs object. It is basically a ribbon shape that I need a graphic to slide along.
I am texturing it using UVW mapping.

I cannot orient the texture correctly. It is on it’s side, (although the image I am using is correct orientation)

Also, the image has an alpha channel, and that is reading correctly on the object, but any area where the graphic is not placed, is visible.. I would like it to be transparent.

any help would be appreciated.. thx

Orientation – either rotate in PS before import or put the image in a Layer channel and apply a Transform Effect to rotate it 90° there.

Alpha everywhere – make a material that is 100% transparent (or alpha) and add that to your ribbon. The 100% transparent needs to be first (left) and the graphic second (to the right in the tags)
