  • Textures Noise Shaders Animation- serious unfunctional

    Hello,

Well, was working on making like fire water and for the life of me cannot get texure, noise, shader, to animate. Tried keyframing everything. Nothing works.

So I closed C4d, rebooted Comp, and tried again,. Notta.
then I tried using previous saved materials I know are animated and again, they are still. No turbulence, movement animation, nothing.
it is as if I made a still image in Photoshop noise grain.

layed out 4 spheres, 4 planes added 4 different animated textures and nothing, also tried some presets and they would not move either.
Tried render preview and full blown render and it is the same nothing but a still noise.

Please, any one help me out here. Dead in the Firewater..

maybe related, opened other saved projects and some did not function at all, could not navigate, select while others worked fine…??

C4 R10 WinXP recently did a windows repair, spose I need to update Graphics drivers?? Could that be the problem? does not seem likely since I have been using c4d daily since then.

    Thanks for your reply.

well , I did update drivers and I now can use at least one animated
texture I have.Just changing its characteristics in place of others.

I have yet to realize if this truly was the problem.

What are your animation settings in the noise shader?

Well, It seems to have been graphics drivers.

I just recently repaired windows, and being my system is quite old.
it reverted back to drivers. My updated graphics card(though now old also) was having n4 lockup.

Updating the drivers for nvidia card seems to have been the problem.
