  • Texture Problem when Combining multiple wall segments into one object

    Hey guys –

I’m creating a room with a window. The room is a square with the front cut out. The side of the square that I want the window to be is also cut out and replaced with a “wall” that I made from a square. What I did was I made four different walls and put them together on the window side so that it would leave a gap for the window when they all were in place.

Then I put the texture on them and you can see where the texture ends for each wall segment.

Is there a way to connect all of these wall segments together so that the texture is uniform across the entire wall?

Or just an easier way to make a window???

For the way you’ve done it you could group all the segments under a null, put the texture on the null, and then use the texture axis tool to rotate/scale the texture to fit.

But there is an easier way to make a window. Use a single-poly plane, made editable. In edge mode, use the knife tool to cut edges to form the window and delete the window polygon.
