In trying to save a complex model including all the linked texture images, I try to use the “Save project” cmd, but I keep getting the msg that a link is missing to an image; apparently used for testing something because the subject hasn’t got anything to do with the model. The image doesn’t exist on my hd anymore. How can I find out where it is linked somewhere in the model.
The alert says, it’s in a material called “front” but that isn’t in the model either.
I tried deleting unused materials but that didn’t help.

Selecting everything in the OM and copy-pasting it to a new document, solved the problem, but then I have to restore all kinds of settings. Anyway I’m not sure what settings I’m missing in that process, so I would prefer to solve it in the original model.

Are you sure you don’t have an object with that material hidden in the Layer Manager?

    No, Adam no hidden layer.
Someone at C4D café helped me out; “front” meant that it was a background image in the “front” viewport.
Didn’t even know about the possibility; must have dropped it in by accident.
