He might have programed it himself. In After Effects this would be very much a manual task, matching up each letters’ starting and end positions.

it is known whether execution is really made in AE or not necessarily? I have no clear solution how it could be achieved, yet the only ‘theoretical’ option I can think of is with Text Animation engine and expression range controls. Only Dan could shine a light on this! (:

This is more like something that would be done in Processing rather than in AE. And that would be a whole different story.

I would rather say it wasn’t done in AE after some researches. Actually, I don’t really care in which programm it was done, I am more interested in the way how to recreate this by myself without boring animation of each letter.
Btw, who is Dan?

interesting effect i’d be interested in knowing how to do it too,besides manual animation. And Dan is the legendary expression wizard and tech lord of this forum.
