Text symbol bug in Extruded Text/BCC7?
Posted by Mike Hinkel on March 11, 2012 at 3:29 amWhen trying to use alt and 0169 in BCC7 I get an underlined capital E instead of ©…Is there a reason for this or is it another bug?

March 12, 2012 at 12:40 pmHmmm … what happens if you type the symbol in another application, such as text edit or notepad, and then copy and paste it into the BCC text window? Does this work?
Cheers,
Peter.

March 12, 2012 at 12:54 pmYes, Peter. That worked. I never gave copy and paste a thought. This is the first text editor where I found the problem. As much as I might use symbols in text I’ll have to remeber that solution. Thanks.

March 13, 2012 at 12:08 pmOr you could use the Character mapper app that comes with windows. It will copy any character you click in it automatically. In any font (that supports the character)….surprised many people forget about this handy little app that debuted in win 3.0 during the DOS days. 🙂
