Text probelm in OS 10.4

Thank you for your reply.
I visited the website and downloaded FCP text generator.
But it’s still the same.
It doesn’t
I used another text generator too but it also doesn’t work.
Why does not it work copied and pasted ‘enter’ from word in text view?
Pleasd help me.

Copy and paste should work fine. I did it last week. I’m running a G5 Dual 2Gbs with FCP 5.1.2
What I would do if I would be in your place?
1) First, Repair Disk Permissions.
If the problem do not disapear them:
2) Run Diskwarrior or Techtools to clean your directories. This I do it at least once every two or three weeks even if the computer works perfect. In fact this is why the computer run perfect, because I do not wait to have problems for running those programs.
If the problem do not disapear them:
3) Reinstal FC or at least the last up-date. After any instalation ALWAYS REPAIR DISK PERMISSIONS.
4) And the last option if those before doesn’t work, trash FCP prefferences.
Think that at least a 75% of the problems when working with FC they arise for problems in the system and not in the very application.

I think there must be some misunderstanding.
The problem is not copy and paste.
What I’m saying is this.
If I copy some sectence which contains enter (which also means 2-line) and paste it into text box in FCP OS 10.4, it apprears it one line sentence.(It doesn’t contain enter.)
I think it doesn’t recognize enter.
I’ll give you some example to make it easy to understand.

ex.)
This is sample sentences in word file.
–>
HARRY POTTER AND HIS PALS ARE FINALLY HERE! (Here is enter!!!)
WE’LL HIT THE RED CARPET WITH THEM IN LONDON.

As you can see it has to be two-line subtitle.
But when I copy and paste it into text box in FCP OS 10.4, it shows like this.
–>
HARRY POTTER AND HIS PALS ARE FINALLY HERE! WE’LL HIT THE RED CARPET WITH THEM IN LONDON.
(There’s no ‘enter’. It appears in one line subtitle.)

It was not any problem at all when I used OS 10.3.9.
What do you think of the problem?

Sorry Agnese I was getting you wrong. Now I understand you. The problem is that you must set the “ENTER” again to make two paragraphs with the text.
I’m sorry but I do not remember if in the past FC would keep the format of the Words docs. I think I’ve been copy-pasteing and them setting the ENTER too in FC. Yesterday I tryed to do something in Motion where I has to sustitute a text by a new one that I had in Words too. I had to re-format all the text window because once pasted lost all the Words format. Probably is the same in FC. I’ll have alook in Google and if i find something helpful I’ll post you.
