  • text position in preview window vs. render

    Hello there

The text position on my preview and my rendered output are different-why’s that?

I’m currently set my project as HDV 1080-50i (1440×1080, 25.000 fps), the preview is 360x270x32, the display is 480x270x32.

My render setting is VCD Pal (Mpeg1), 25fps,1440 x 1080.

The “text” on the output is always in a much higher position than as what is in preview window- and inevitably it has blocked the important scene that in the video.

Could anyone tell me how should I get the position of the text
as the same as the output?

    Thanks

Did you really mean VCD PAL MPEG-1? Why?? You are going from HD 16:9 widescreen to VCD which is less than 4:3… it’s almost square. Your problem is that you are judging placement on a project that bears no resemblance to the aspect of your final output. Set your project properties to match your output and there will be no surprises.

    Hi,

What is the best output format that I should use for HD 16:9 widescreen then?

    Please advise.

    Thanks.

That depends on how you plan to deliver it. Web? PC? DVD? Blu-ray? If you are just saving your project as a file and your source is HDV I would render to HDV using the MainConcept MPEG-2 type and one of the HDV templates. If your delivery target is Blu-ray then use one of the Blu-ray templates.

    Hi,

What would be the best format if it would be delivered by DVD?

    Can I still use MPEG2?
