I want to take my videos to the next level. I find the text I use is so boring and there isn’t much options. Is there any plugins for spicing up text media and/or any tutorials on how to use text effectively you can recommend?

ALSO: Is there any other plugins that you love that you could recommend as well? What are your favorites and why?:)

Boris Graffiti is an excellent text plug-in that you should look at. I use Boris RED all of the time which includes Boris Graffiti and Boris FX plus some more Boris Continuum Complete filters. I use Boris RED in some way on almost all of my projects.

proDAD makes a text plug-in call HeroGlyph which is rather nice. Those are about the only two plug-ins I know of. All the rest are stand-alone applications that require rendering, exporting, and importing, and generally disrupt your workflow.

Prodad heroglyph is my personal favorite for a ton of reasons,
and the one that i highly recommend.
Another plugin i would recommend you look into is the
    newbluefx line of plugins.
All the above has a rather simple user interface look to them,
but are powerhouses underneath that truly produces
    high end results.

    Thank you guys!

Wow pro-dad is SICK! I thought only digital juice had transitions and effects! WOW!
I am downloading a few of their stuff now (little pricey) but will definately build my index up over the next few months!

I love transitions and effects, are there any other companies that do Sony Vegas plugins/transitions/effects?

…very simple and effective (with many pre-defined effects):
SwishMax (flash tool)…. just export as SWF (flash 5) and use it directly in Vegas…

    my 2 cents
