  • Text over photo blur in playback

    Hello,

I’m actually using Final Cut Express, but there wasn’t a forum for it.

I’m simply putting outline text over a jpg photo (have also tried converting the photo to several other formats, all with no luck), and although it looks good frame by frame, when I render it and play it back the text and photo blur out.

This happened later with text over video.

I use the text on FCE a lot, and have never encountered this issue. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

There may be something in the sequence settings. And are you watching this on your system monitor, or an external monitor?
Also, if you are watching the movie in QT Player, maybe you need to put the ‘high quality’ setting on in QT player.

If by any chance you are exporting to DV, try to do it to a better codec.

I’m having the same problem. I never used to have blurry text when I’d render it using Final Cut Express, but now it is. I don’t know how to fix it. Does anyone have any suggestions?
