Hello
I create an EncoreDVD project with two films
and plenty of menus of text created in Photoshop.
I read Philip Hodgetts’s tutorial to get Great Titles with DV codec.
I hope to adapt it to Photoshop. But I don’t understand some very well :Use a keyline :
“Provides an interim color _Recommended for video 80 – 204/204/204”Does it mean 80 is for luninosity?
And Each R.V.B. is 204 ?Is it The Outline? Good for all colour font?!
I got the pb also with Blur
Gaussian Blur filter at .3 _Recommended for video 80/10
I think 3 is for Rayonne but, I don’t understand 80/10!Thanks for help

Yes, the “80” refers to 80% luminance. The RGB values for this are (255*0.8) = 204,204,204.
Proper font selection would eliminate the need to blur text. Avoid fine lines & thin serifs. A bit of drop shadow will help text stand up to NTSC playback.
