    I am using final cut 5 and when i add text to a section using a fade in transition on the text, the text jumps when the transition is done. It moves. How can i deal with this. it does it using final cut text option and when i use boris it does same thing. What am i doing wrong

    Render the text.

    FCP is dynamically reducing playback quality while the text in on screen so you can see your work in real time. The visual effect sometime looks like a jump when FCP returns to full quality.

    Rendering is the key to getting rid of the jump. Try throwing something simple like a garbage matte on the title and then rendering it. Putting your text at an even coordinate sometimes helps as well. If all else fails try removing your dissolves and manually adjusting the opacity with key frames.
