Hey all, I am Very new to After Effects, I am trying to add text to a road, so that it looks like it was painted on the road. Then I want the text to wipe away as the car drives over it. There is some camera jiggle so I will need to track as well. I know I saw a tutorial that showed me how to track text, but I can’t seem to find it now. Any help would be appreciated.

    Cheers and Thanks in advance…

    Hi Brian,

I have a pair of tutorials on my youtube channel (link below) that deal with this type of project.

After Effects: Using the motion tracker

After Effects: Obscuring one layer behind another

You might also want to make the text layer 3d and adjust the rotation property to make it look like it’s lying on the road surface, plus perhaps play with the layer transfer modes.
