I’m using Vegas 9.0a 64bit. Somehow the Generated Text Media doe not work anymore. I can add it to the timeline, but I cannot edit the text.

    Any clue?

Sebastien, there have been several different Generated Media bugs reported in the last 2 weeks and yours may be another one.
    I’d recommend re-installing Vegas.
Make sure to save any custom presets, FX, etc. that you may have created.
If this doesn’t clear it up, open a ticket with Sony Technical Support.

Thanks. We’ll give the re-install a try. Hope this works.

There is a serious bug in 9a with text media,, imho do yourself a favor and do not use sony text at all until they supply a fix,, otherwise you may lose hours of work.. text reverts to sample.

What do you suggest? Do all the text in another application (ex. photoshop) and import as image? That’s also a lot of extra work…

Sebastien, Photoshop is where I do most of my titles.
Yes, it is extra work but I have lot more choice as to text creation so I really don’t mind doing it.
Save the images as PNGs and they’ll drop right into Vegas without any problems.
Remember to pay attention to things such as safe area.
This is easily accomplished by using guides at 10% and 90% left, right, top and bottom of your image.

It not a workaround, but does help when you come across this issue. That is save each title as a template (I know the list gets long), but at least when the title reverts to \’sample\’, you can edit and sellect the orginal from the drop down list, and delete them onceyouve finished the project.

Well, I re-installed windows 7 RC and had to re-install Vegas as well. Now both text and Pro Titler are working fine.

Please let me know how long it works for you. I had it working for a couple of days, so I thought I would use it on my next project; but then it started bugging again.

Some folks think it may be related to ‘undo’, but I don’t think I did any ‘undo.’ I think it just started bugging again on its own.

I plan to not use it until the bug fix.
