text lines appear behind each other in text area
I have a really annoying problem that is probably really easy to solve but i can’t figure it out. (forgive my noobie status)
When i draw a text area and write my text the first line appears fine then the text i write after just appears directly behind the fist line. I want it to continue on to a line below.
is it a problem with my settings?

it sounds like the leading (or line spacing) is set to low.
look at the character palette and make sure the leading is set to auto (or a value about the same as the point size). the leading is the value just to the right of the size.
