The text events I’m putting into a composite video come out slightly blurry, where as the other images are crisp and clear.

I AM using a font provided by my client so as to match the rest of their marketing material.

When I use system fonts, such as arial, they look fine.

When I use the client’s font in Word and Photoshop, it looks fine.

    Project properties: 1920×1080, 60i, 29.97 fps

Vegas Pro 9e, 64 bit, Windows 7, Dell Studio XPS 8100, Intel Core i7.

Are you sure those text are in the same 1920×1080 resolution?

“I AM using a font provided by my client “

This could be the problem. What format is the supplied font in?

If there are serifs (pointy things) on the font, no NLE can render them well.

Are the typefaces opentype or truetype? Try running the fonts thru Fontographer and clean up the edges.

    “1920X1080”
The project is set for this, yes. But when adding text elements, I’m presuming that Vegas will put text media in the same resolution in accord with project specs.

… on double checking I found the text had, in fact, been in a different resolution… Whodathunk?

I’m fixing it by starting the project over with all the same settings.

    Thanks!!!
