Text layer not moving with shape layer it is parented to
Totally stumped. The shape layer also has its path animated, could this somehow be the problem? When the shape layer changes position, the text doesn’t budge.

Parenting applies to layer transforms. If you’re animating transform properties of the shape itself and not of the layer that contains the shape, there’s nothing to follow.
