HI I am doing some experimenting with animated text in AE 6.5…being somewhat new to AE I have watched many tutorials on animating text…the problem I am having is that when I create a new text layer and type some text….the text comes out very bold and the letters look so fat you can hardly tell what letter it is…it seems to do this no matter what font I choose…am I not doing something correctly?…I have tried to resize the text and that does not help…I am assuming that what ever font I choose it should look like as it would in any other program that uses text…any help would be greatly appreciated.
    thanks
    chris

Perhaps the stroke width is set to a high value. Try decreasing it.

    Chris,

What filter, surface or other effects do you have applied to the text?
