    Hi everybody.
can someone explain to me please how I can make it look as if text is stamped into an object? I want it to look like it does in after effects with a “bevel alpha”. I would think it goes someting like make text with an extrude nurb in the usual way, place it so far into the object, and then somehow use the text to cut out what you want. Does that make sense?
Help me ObiWan, youre my only hope…..

    Thanks in advance
    Simon

You could place the object and the text into a Boole, set the object above the text and set the Boole to A subtract B.

The other way would be to use a bitmap of the text in the material bump or displacement channel.
