    Hey,

I created a flyer for direct mail in Photshop and sent it to print. I used 300 as the rez. The print company called me back saying that the text cant be done in Photoshop because it comes out pixalated. What program should I use for text over graphics?

    Thanks for any help.

It shouldn’t be a problem as long as the dpi is high enough. I have sent out PSD files for print before on small jobs and thay have been fine. Now, ideally, you should create your layouts in a program such as InDesign or Quark or even Illustrator. Your printer may just be playing it safe. But your text should be fine.

Thanks for the reply. He says that I should have created the background art in Photoshop then imported that into indesign creating the text over the pics. I guess that makes since. I’m just use to doing it a certian way. But your right.

    Thank you.
