i have tried lots of pre-packaged text graphics packages including pixel studios and motion array. I need something better. I don’t use After Effects, so I need templates I can just drag into fcpx. I don’t like those 2 because they are not high-end looking and also not that easy to customize. I am looking for suggestions for something better. I do not mean free or $30 – higher price is fine. Thanks.

nice quality! i would call those high end. How complicated is the install process? (I thought the Motion Array process was a little much.)

Great recommend. Motionvfx is great too.
They have an installer that makes it easy, called mInstaller.

You can always open a copy of a native FCPX text package in motion , make some modifications and save it. That Copy will then show up in you browser with the modifications you made. I barely know Motion but have been modifying and making my own text packages to fill certain needs I have and even for a motion noob its possible.

The existing text templates in X are all done in motion. I find that frequently there is a parameter of the template that I want to control but can’t with the default template. You can open a copy in motion and publish the desired parameters of the template being modified and save changes. That copy shows up in FCP text browser with the additional template controls published ie. controls appear in the inspector and then you can modify them as needed for your project.
