I have some background layers with text moved away in the ‘z’ direction. There is a light shining on these layers so the text casts a shadow. Fine. Call this comp LAYERS.

I drag LAYERS into my MAIN comp and set up a camera. However, while the text looked great in LAYERS, it looks crap and soft in MAIN. If I click the ‘collapse transformations’ the text looks ok, but I lose the lighting effect from LAYERS; ie. no shadows.

Everything is set to best and ‘continuous rasterization’ is on for all vector lyers.

    What’s going on?

    Hi,

You could create a new light layer in the main comp. As long as the ‘collapse transformations sitch is on for your layers comp you should get your shadows back.

    Salut.
