    Hello,

I read through somes previous posts about making the white text 235 (someone said 204) instead of 255. I still find the text (smaller; 17 px w/ 19px spacing…I was tried it with 22px spacing) flickers on normal TVs.

I made the screen menus in PHOTOSHOP (ie: headers, small text and all). Basically, just added the buttons in ENCORE?

    Qs

1 – Should I just making the background pictures in PS and add the text in ENCORE?

2 – Is there a better video text to use…I am using VERDANA.

    Thanks for any help.

    Hi Derek,

On interlaced displays, text flickers because very thin parts of the text or lines only exist in one field.

You want to use sans serif fonts (like Verdana) as much as possible, and to have any horizontal portions of letters cover more than 2 pixels.

If you can’t increase the size of the font, then you can add a slight blur to the text to achieve essentially the same effect.
